The first single since Moses Sumney's smashing double album græ has just landed. 'Keeps Me Alive' has been released alongside a simple, yet dazzling performance video by Josh Finck. It sees Sumney seated on the porch of a house (presumably Sumney's North Carolina home), playing guitar and singing. In the song, Sumney uses his signature child-like falsetto vocal that dances with soulful melisma. The chorus line "It keeps me alive, it keeps me breathin' right" uses a wonderfully ornate melody which is bound to make the heart melt. The guitar doesn't seem like a separate instrument from his voice, rather it cradles his vocals with its delicate plucks and jazz chords. It's a must-watch. -Ellie Rose-Davies
